Q: How do I make the text larger and easier to read? A: All browsers allow you to increase or decrease the size of the text. The most common method (depending on your browser) is to click on the "View" menu at the top of your screen. Next, click on "Zoom" or "Font Size" or similar. A new menu will appear. From there, you can increase or decrease your text. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need assistance, or refer to your browsers help documentation. Q: What is the difference between online/internet and printed/mailed courses? A: Online courses are delivered through the internet to your computer using a browser. All of the course content is online and you will be able to print your certificate right after completing the course. Printed/Mailed Courses are printed versions mailed to your home or workplace. Each learner reads the printed material, then either mails in his/her tests, or returns to Edlantis.com to take his/her test online. Q: Will my state accept contact hours from Edlantis Seminars? A: State licensure requirements change frequently and are different in each state. It is best to always check with your local licensure board for your state's current requirements. Most states require either pre-approval or documentation of the course taken. This usually includes a copy of the course description, syllabus, the instructor's biography, and a certificate of completion. Q: How long does Edlantis Seminars maintain records? A: Your enrollment and participation in online courses are maintained indefinately on our servers. Our servers and database are backed up weekly. Q: After I complete a course, can I return and use the course for reference? A: Yes, you will have access to the course material even after you complete the course, however you will not be able to review the quizzes or test questions. This is done to protect from user fraud. Q: Do I have to complete the course all at once? A: No. You are given 90 days to complete your online course allowing you to start and stop as often as necessary. Home study courses should be completed within 6 months. Q: Why are home study courses more expensive than online courses? A: The price for home study courses includes the cost of printing the materials plus shipping and handling. Also, home study courses are manually reviewed by our instructors, whereas online tests and quizzes are automatically corrected by our courseware; activities are still manually reviewed by each instructor. Q: What is included on my Certificate of Completion? A: Provider, instructor's name and title, your name, discipline, license number (if applicable), course title, number of contact hours, and the time and date of completion. Q: How long will it take to receive my certificate? A: Your E-Certificate of Completion is emailed to you immediately after successfully completing a course. A paper certificate is also available via standard mail, overnight, and by fax upon request. Q: Is Edlantis.com a secure web site?
